MSL has developed unique expertise in optimization and design of concrete mixtures, both conventional (cast-in-place) and specialized (high-performance concrete, shotcrete, self-leveling concrete, roller-compacted concrete, etc.). For each application, MSL’s engineers propose the concrete mixture best suited to the clients’ specifications and requirements, particularly based on the physical restrictions of strength, durability, installation and economic considerations. RCC Mixture Compaction Software
For roller-compacted concrete (RCC) mixtures MSL engineers use a theoretical model recently developed at the Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées (Central Bridge and Pavement Laboratory) in Paris, France. The software was adapted for RCC mixtures and has been used for over 25 major RCC projects in Canada. Using this software, our engineers can design mixtures with optimum packing density and adequate “workability” and develop high mechanical strength at very early ages. This software can also be used to design dry concrete mixtures for the precast industry.
