Materials Characterization and Forensics

MSL has access to several laboratories equipped to conduct standard procedures as well as very specialized testing to characterize the properties of reinforced concrete. MSL offers advanced analytical techniques to characterize cements and other cementitious materials (e.g. fly ash, blast furnace slag, silica fume) or identify deleterious phases present in degraded concrete (e.g. ettringite, gypsum, Friedel’s salt, calcite, etc.).

Getting the correct answer is our objective.
